Sitka Trailworks, Inc. is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to the development, maintenance, and promotion of Sitka area trails. Occasional guided hikes, maps, volunteer trail maintenance, and special events are offered throughout the summer.

Sitka Fire Department
The Sitka Volunteer Fire Department consists of approximately ninety volunteers and ten paid positions. Operating within the department are three distinctly different divisions which include Fire, EMS, and Dive. The Sitka Volunteer Fire Department covers one of the largest City and Boroughs areas in the country (per square mile).
