Ocean Wave Quilt Guild of Sitka holds an Annual Quilt Show each May. Free admission and viewer’s Choice voting on quilts from all who attend the show with the winner to be announced at the closure of the show. All quilts in the show are shown for the first time.
Established in the 1980s the Guild meets nine months out of the year – welcomes everyone regardless of skill level, regularly brings in teachers from out of town and hosts monthly open sewing sessions.
Proceeds from an annual action plus sales from the guild’s own Alaska’s Undercover Men Calendar fund special projects including college & Sitka Fine Arts Camp scholarships and benefit cancer survivors, senior citizens and victims of violence.
