330 Harbor Dr. Sitka, AK 99835

Sitka Wonders is a wildlife tourism company founded by Emmy-winning cinematographer Ben Hamilton, who has spent nearly two decades filming Alaska’s outer coast for National Geographic and the BBC. That filmmaker’s eye shapes everything we do on the water.

Our naturalist-led boat tours take small groups of up to 6 into Sitka Sound and along the wild outer coast to watch for humpback whales, sea otters, brown bears, Steller sea lions, puffins, and more. Every tour is guided by trained naturalists who go beyond sightings to share the ecology, behavior, and stories behind what you’re seeing. Our signature Islands of Wonder tour uses a landing craft to bring guests ashore on remote wilderness beaches for tidepool discovery and coastal exploration you won’t find on any other Sitka tour.

We also screen Sitka’s Hidden Wonders, an award-winning 40-minute wildlife film playing daily at Centennial Hall. It’s the perfect complement to a day on the water, or a great standalone experience on a rainy afternoon. Suitable for all ages. The film runs from May 1 to October 1, Sunday through Thursdays, at Harrigan Centennial Hall, 330 Harbor Dr. Don’t miss this unforgettable experience while you’re in Sitka!
